About Rowa Ra
Rowa has a unique signature voice with a melodic sound that emerges from her heart and soul. She is a master lyricist and an exciting composer, who unites words brilliantly. Her compositions and her ability to interlock words are insightful and intriguing. Because of this, her sound creates an exciting and unique experience for the listeners.
Rowa grew up in a large family in a small two bedroom apartment, where there were more people than space available. She took solace, many years, by grabbing the radio and climbing into the lower bunk bed. She would place the radio close to her ear and listen to music that took her to a special place: her dream land. She would daydream about being a great singer and songwriter for the world.
Rowa listened to a lot of inspirational songs as a child. This helped her to dream bigger than what she called “her geographical location”. She could see beyond poverty, and struggles. Rowa believed one day she would sing and write songs for all people of the world to enjoy with the hope they would find solace as she did then and do today.
Rowa songs speak to the minds and hearts of humankind, and her method of delivery, lyrics and songs structures are intoxicating and addictive. Rowa understands all souls, no matter what race, creed, ethnicity or culture, is the same. They hurt, they cry, they raise families, they work and they want a fair opportunity to make it in this world. Rowa is an embodiment of life in its full spectrum to one being: happy, sad, in pain, feeling joy, feeling hate, in love, lost love, being angry and all the way to that famous saying “ if I would’ve, could’ve, should’ve”.
Rowa believes the gifts God gave her will make a place in the recording industry for the uniqueness she has to offer the world. She takes a bit of inspiration from the song "Hold On To Your Dreams" where it indicates it's plenty room at the top; it's just the bottom that's crowded.
Rowa enjoys the gift of "voice" and "writing". She says, "All of us are born creators. Each must determine what they are here to "create." She is here to create stories through writings and songs.
